People & planet
It is important to take responsibility for our impact on society and the environment around us. We have chosen to focus a large part of our social commitment on Response Network, an organization that operates in southern Zambia. We also work with local initiatives. For example in the form of our Job Preparation Program. We strive to cut our climate impact by having an environmental mindset in our processes and daily work.
CSR ambition
-
We want to be successful in business, but also do good and have a positive impact on both people and the planet. We have high ambitions regarding sustainability and are strongly committed to be a role model within the area.

Thinking green
In our environmental work, we have chosen to focus on climate-smart purchases, transport, energy-saving measures, and waste sorting, as it is mainly in these areas that we have the greatest impact on the environment. We work constantly with our environmental goals, which we follow up and evaluate twice a year. You can read more about the environmental goals in our sustainability report.
Of course, we follow current environmental legislation as well as requirements and standards in the environmental area. But we also aim to exceed these requirements. We are certified according to ISO 14001. We need to be a role model for our employees, owners, authorities, customers, consultants, candidates, suppliers, and other stakeholders when it comes to environmental issues and sustainability.
Economic and social responsibility
Our commitment and work with CSR permeate our daily work. We take financial responsibility by following both ethical and legal guidelines when conducting our business. Partly with regards to the choice of subcontractors but also by conducting secure financial business that can pay dividends to our shareholders. Social responsibility includes, among other things, ensuring that our employees are satisfied and well, as well as avoiding all forms of discrimination in the workplace.
Our commitment to Zambia
Since 2004, we have donated one percent of our profit to school projects in Zambia. We call this the One Percent Movement. Over time, this has contributed to the construction of more than 50 schools and provided schooling for tens of thousands of children in southern Zambia. Together with the charity Response Network, we sponsor the local villages around Livingstone with materials such as bricks & mortar and window glass. In turn, it is the villagers themselves who run the projects and build their school, which serves as help for self-help.
