A good start
Onboarding continues throughout the first year of employment with the purpose of providing you with the support and encouragement you need to get a great start in your new role as an Account Manager. Before you attend the formal introduction, you will have access to your onboarding plan. There, we will provide you with useful information – in order to prepare you as much as possible for what is to come.
Before your formal introduction begins, you will have the opportunity to say hello to your future teammates. However, due to the current situation it will be remotely, but still in a personal way. For us it is super important that you feel truly welcome and part of the team right from the start.

Kick-start with a two-week introduction
Your introduction begins when you start your first day in your new role. The introduction usually takes place at the office, but due to the extraordinary circumstances we have adapted to the situation and perform all our introductions remotely.
We strive to give you a broad and solid introduction of Academic Work as a company, our business, and the important part you will play as an Account Manager. During your introduction you will learn more about:
- Academic Work as a company and our business family
- Our vision, mission, and our strategy to get there
- Our culture and core values – and how we apply them in our everyday life
- Code of conduct and guidelines – how and why we what we do.
In addition, the introduction is also the starting point for Academic Work Sales Academy – our solid, and highly appreciated sales school which coincides during your first year. During your introduction you will take part in the first of six programs (all with different focus areas related to the sales process) and learn more about the AM role as well as the targets and the different steps of the sales process.

Academic Work Sales Academy
Our sales school is designed to give you, as a newly assigned Account Manager, the right tools and support to succeed in your new role. Regardless of your previous sales experience or lack there of, you will develop professionally and grow your sales skills. We often receive positive feedback from our new Account Managers pleased with the high level of our sales training.
The Sales Academy is ongoing during the entire first year of your employment as an Account Manager. Once you have completed all six programs, you have taken the first step of what we call Career steps – a development and reward program where you as an employee can prefect the skills and knowledge required to excel in your role and evolve your career.
