About the position
As a Design Assistant, you will be a part of our Creative team and working on different design productions requested by the organization. Productions may for example include profile images, design templates, image editing, basic animation, presentations, design support, illustrations etc. Your focus will be to support our Designers in different projects daily, but you will also take on a few projects on your own. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience within graphic design after your studies and to start your career journey.
Our marketing department is responsible for marketing initiatives within all our six countries and supports all companies and brands within Akind. The Marketing process strives to work insights driven, which means that we improve our work by asking for and acting on feedback and by actively contributing to retro meetings and other evaluation forums. Insights from surveys, data and results collected from campaigns etc. will also be important sources of knowledge for you.
As Design Assistant, you work in close collaboration with the rest of the Creative Team, the Marketing team and other stakeholders within the organization. - Produce high quality design units for internal and external use that is contemporary, inspiring and functional, based on requests from the organization and the creative team.
- Tasks include doing art work, handling design proofs, retouching and resizing images, create social media material in multiple language versions, assist in design research etc.
- Being responsible for the project of internal profile images, such as handling the orders and retouching images whilst keeping a structured work flow.
- Support designers in campaign and design.
We are looking for
- Relevant education within design, preferably within digital design.
- Experience from working hands on in Creative Suite (Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Experience from working with Social Media, either from educational or work experience
- Very good knowledge in written and spoken English
- Intermediate Swedish, written and spoken
It is considered an advantage if you have worked with similar tasks at an inhouse team before, for example from an internship or part-time job.
To succeed in this position, we believe you have a great interest in graphic design and would like to grow in the area and are eager to learn more from your co-workers.

Recruitment process: The first step in the recruitment process is to apply with your portfolio and CV, no Cover Letter is necessary. If you fulfil the requirements for the position, you will then receive an email asking you to complete two tests by Assessio. One is a personality mapping which takes about 20 minutes to complete, the other a cognitive ability test which you have 12 minutes to complete. The reason why we use assessment tests is to ensure a solid and fair recruitment process focusing on potential for the position we are hiring for rather than your CV. If you proceed, the next step is a telephone interview and later on a behavioural descriptive interview with Talent Acquisition Manager Lisette Lind and recruiting manager Sofia Leonsson, Brand Lead Designer.
